THE ART EXHIBITION

A long time during art week we were able to present a beautiful piece of art work at the art exhibition held in the hall. Other different classes were able to see how much progress we made in our art week, while we were doing the art work it was hard at times but then it became easy. After the children had seen it at the end of the day it was time for the parents to see it. My mother had come in to have a look at all the art that each year had done during the week she was wondering if it was on sale because it was a true work of art.

Basketball !!!!!!!!!

I play basketball and I play at my school. We have an all star tournament were all the best players in Northamptonshire are chosen to play for our schools AND I GOT CHOSEN!!!!!!!!!

But, that's on the 9th July. This Saturday I've got another 1 so I won't be bored for the weekend . Get in !!!!!!

Art Week by ams

ART WEEK

During art week we have been looking at canal art and Roy Lichtestein's art work. It was really fun!! We also have been doing a class picture in a big canvas. It was divided into squares and each one in our class will have one square to paint or draw.

Hi it's LDB,
This week is test week!!!! We have done Long writing test, short writing test,spelling test and 3!!!!! maths test !!!!!!! We have to stay silent for too long !!!! We have to do tests to have a good education and get good grades.

ART WEEK!!!!!!!

Art week was last week. It was so much fun, each class had a huge canvas and we all painted a picture and each of us had a square each to do our bit on. At the end of the week, we put our work in the hall so EVERYONE could see it. All of the art work was AMAZING. Well done guys!!!

Hi! BK here to talk about Samba. Well , samba is the most popular music and dance in Brazil. Samba is held in carnivals each year. There are a lot of dancers and amazing costumes

For the past few weeks we have been learning how to play samba instruments such as Agogobells, pincushions .... I hope u try SAMBA I think u will love it !!

I'm so excited to be on the yr5 blog today. Music is my favourite subject because we're doing samba. My favourite tune we play is called The Samba Funk. It's so cool and fun to play as well!!!!

Samba is an activity which involves dancing and music and takes place on Wednesday afternoons.It started a few terms ago. It's fun for kids and adults, also it shows us the Brazilian culture and their music.I've liked Samba from the beginning because of all it's interesting instruments. :-)

PEARL DIVER:

This term y5 have beeen looking at waterworlds, one of our main focuses has been the pearl diver. It is a great, desriptive story about a boy named Saeed he goes pearl diving with his father. The story is very intresting with great illastrations.

I think this whole year has been FAB, and my favorite topic has been Vile Victorians. I've loved
learning about the Oliver Twist story and Florence Nightingale with her work in the Crimean War.
I like History because it tells us how the old generation of humans lived.

We've started a new topic called Water World. It's different from the other topics because it's based on Geography. Were doing rivers in Water World. :)

Netball by EN

Hi, its EN again! I'm going to tell you about the netball club at this school. I started a few weeks ago and its really good fun! You can only play netball in upper school so we play hi 5! Its just as good!!! Its easy to join, just speak to Mrs Carter! Good Bye, from EN.

My top four subjects are History, Art, DT, Science. I like History because I like finding out about my past. I like Art because I like painting and drawing.

On Wednesday we do samba, it's week six now. This week we learnt how to do the samba funk, it was really fun, I played the surdo 2. We also play games, one of them is called 'plug in the gap' it's really fun. We also play a game called copycat plug in the gap, it's like plug in the gap but you have to copy each other.

SAMBA

Y5 have recently been learning the art of Samba Music. We are 5 weeks into are samba course. Our Samba teachers are Mr Green and Mr Malieeski. The wide variety of instruments include Agogo Bells, Tambarims, Cuttin surdos, 1 Surdo, 2 surdos, Cashiers and Ganzas.
